The church “Living Israel” was founded in 1995 as a church of home groups. In the meantime it has spread all over the country Israel and there are parishes in Haifa, Ma’alot, Katzrin, Karmiel, Rishon LeZion, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Arad.
“Living Israel” understand themselves as part of the Judeo-Christian and messianic movement in Israel, which is open for people of all nationalities and denominations. So you’ll find Jews, gentiles and Arabs in their church services.
The church is shaped by charity and love towards people on the margins of society. Thus a rehabilitative ministry for alcohol and drug addicts was formed, among other things. There, people get a new hope through the love of Jesus Christ. They become free of their addictions and experience how God restores their spirits, souls and bodies. It is a joy to see how this work grows and spreads out at the various parish places, but also beyond the borders into New York and Ukraine.
The church cares for Jewish-Russian immigrants and fosters their integration. Since the beginning of 2009, a four-month bible school takes place regularly in the church in Haifa. The alumni are equipped for their service in church and rehabilitation. The majority of students ran through rehabilitation themselves and want to pass on what they received to others.
Since the year 2003, our churches are closely linked in friendship. We support the work in Israel through prayer, financially and by mutual visits and ministry.
