New Here?
Welcome to Immanuel Church Leonberg!
“Immanuel” means “God is with us”—this biblical promise is of central importance to us as an evangelical free church. Jesus came as Messiah to build a bridge between us humans and God. We want to help people find this personal bridge to God in their lives and to experience His love.
We Would Like to Get to Know You
We have various small groups with different focuses as well as several youth groups which meet regularly. One of those surely fits you!
Frequently Asked Questions
Where and when are your church services?
Normally, our church services take place every Sunday at 10 o’clock in the Church Centre at Böblinger Straße 13, 71229 Leonberg. Find up to date information in the calendar.
How should I imagine a church service?
Our church service begins with modern Christian songs which we consciously sing to God. These sung prayers are accompanied by a band. Everybody is free to express their love and appreciation in a way that is fitting to them—e.g. by raising hands, clapping, cheering. Afterwards, we hear a sermon applicable to everyday life and there is an opportunity to let others pray for you. The service finishes with us having community over a nice chat and a cup of coffee.
What should I do with my children during the service?
During the church service, a children’s service takes place in parallel. Kids are warmly welcome!
What kind of music can I expect?
During worship we are accompanied by a band with a keyboard, drums and guitar. This can get a little louder at times.
Is there a dress code?
No, there isn’t. Wear what you’re comfortable with.
Are there parking spaces available?
How else can I get to church?
On Sundays we can use the parking lot of Aldi at Ulmer Straße 34 which is right around the corner. See the contact page for more information.
Will there be any costs for me?
Donations to the church are entirely voluntary. Immanuel Gemeinde Leonberg e. V. is a charitable association and is financed exclusively through donations. We don’t charge membership fees.
Do I have to become a member if I come more often?
No, you don’t. Nobody who visits our events and services has to become a member.
Are there more events during the week?

There are more events during the week, such as a meeting for teens, an international prayer group, or a house church for young adults. There is surely something for you! Please see the small groups and youth pages for details.

In the calendar, there is current information about regular and irregular events.

Can I regularly get information from the church?
To stay up to date, you can subscribe to our newsletters on the contact page. This is, of course, free of charge and without any further obligation.
